= Mostly popular laudatory songs or poems, mostly in Dutch. For a large part in the same hand, so perhaps copied by the writer. A few of the printed titles: "Het lied van den held Van Geen" (Dordrecht, printed by J. v.d. Wal) and "Voor de onderscheidene godsdienst-oefeningen der protestanten bij de derde divisie in het Kamp" (added in manuscript: "bij Oirschot 1834"). Some manuscript titles: "Den 5den februarij 1831. Volkslied (...). Wie pronkt voortaan aan Claessenszij? Van Spijk! (...)", "De Landstorm", "Aan den koning" (dated 23 November 1830, Bergen-op-zoom, signed by J.F. van Goethem), "Flankeur (...) 5e Comp. Noordh. Schutterij", "Wapenkreet aan het volk der 7 gewesten of Noordelijk gedeelte des Rijks!".

= Philippe François died on 19th of June, 1726. He was the son of Philippe van Steelant (1625-1697) and Petronella de la Neve (1623-1681).
= The sale of a house in Breda in 1564 by Niclaes Verstuys from Antwerp to Cornelissen Waechmans, situated next to the property of a Peter Pigge and called Den Hert; the sale of a house called Den Noort in 1643; also 'Schepenbrieven' in which Willem Lips declares to have sold the house and premises called the Witte Clock 'op het Ghinnekenseynde' to Peeter de Lint (1658), the sale of the same house by De Lint to Johannes van Dongen (1666) and the sale of the same house by Johannes van Dongen to Peeter Jacobsz. van Gestel (1671).

= Short play (not referable for us) in which a servant is falsely accused of being hooked on cardplaying and gambling. The final 3p. contain a short treatise on the history of playing cards ("Over de Speelkaarten, en de Beduidenis der Beelden en Figuuren op den zelve").

= Alphabetical commonplace book (running from A to L) of important Latin (literary) concepts, esp. virtues and vices. Each entry contains quotations from Virgil, Cicero, Terence and/ or Phaedrus, i.a. under 'avaritia' Virgil's Aeneid 3.54-57 is cited and under 'imago' Cicero's Ad familiares 5.12.7.

= Henri Stuart de Bonair, historiographer of the King of France and one of the 25 members of the Scottish Guard, is known for his Sommaire royal de l'histoire de France (Paris, 1676). From the library of king LOUIS PHILIPPE I, sold at auction in 1852 (acc. to annot. on first free endpaper). Library stamp of the royal residences Palais-Royal and Château d'Eu on first page. On the auction and binding: Catalogue de livres provenant des bibliothèques du feu roi Louis-Philippe (Paris/ London, 1852), no. 2184. On the content: Le Long 26693; Michaud V, p.82: "Si le chevalier (...), 1671, manuscrit in-8ş., dont on connaît plusieurs copies."

= An 18th-cent.(?) ms. transcript of CHRISTOPHE BUTKENS' Annales, ed. Antw., J. Cnobbart, 1626. The copyist added 4 ms. indices (not in the printed edition), i.a. "Table des seigneurs et dames de la maison de Lynden mentionnez en ces Annales", and interleaved the printed work w. 3 ms. genealogical tables, i.a. "Geslacht-register der Coningen van Vrancrijc ende Hertogen".
- Verso first leaf w. stamp "Afgevoerd/ C.B. v. Genealogie/ 's-Gravenhage"; bookplate on first free endpaper; old catalogue clipping on first blank. Some very vague flattened folds; 2 lvs. w. sm. portion cut out and replaced by a contemp. drawing.
