= Very rare print, only one copy traced (sold in our auction of november 1996). Not known to Hollstein. "Tot nu toe weten we van het bestaan van slechts één prent van Crussens (...). Mogelijk gaat het om een unicum. Voorgesteld is een wijdbeens staande boer, die in zijn rechterhand een fiasco (een Italiaanse wijnfles) vasthoudt. Onder de afbeelding bevindt zich een tweeregelig vers in het Nederlands en (in een enigszins gewijzigde vertaling) in het Frans. Daarboven staat "Smolca", een woord waarvan niet bekend is wat wordt bedoeld. Vermoedelijk is het een eigennaam, die betrekking heeft op de afgebeelde figuur. Misschien heeft Crussens hem verkeerd gespeld en had er eigenlijk Svolta moeten staan, het Italiaanse woord voor kromming of bocht. De voorgestelde zou dan een commedia dell'arte-achtige figuur kunnen zijn. Dit type boer (...) gaat in grote lijnen terug op een serie etsen van Jacques Callot (1592-1635) uit ca 1616-22 met misvormde dwergen (...)." (Delineavit et Sculpsit 22, p.16).
