= Presentation copy from the collection of the architect H.P. Berlage, with his owner's stamp on verso. Braches 925; Y. Brentjes, Dwalen door het paradijs. Leven en werk van G.W. Dijsselhof (1866-1924) (2002), p.190f and ill. 163: "De steendrukpers die Groesbeek het drietal [= G.W. Dijsselhof, C.A. Lion Cachet and Th. Nieuwenhuis] had bezorgd, nodigde niet alleen uit om te experimenteren met behangdessins, ook bracht het de kunstenaars op het idee om maandkalenders te gaan lithograferen. Daarmee werd in 1895 een begin gemaakt. (...). Pas tijdens het eerste jaar van de werkplaats [1898] besluit het drietal gezamenlijk een kalender te vervaardigen. Dijsselhof neemt de maanden januari, april, juli en oktober voor zijn rekening (...). Na eindeloos schetsen, tekenen en drukken besluit hij de dagen van de maand in een rechthoekig kader iets boven het midden van het papier te plaatsen en de omliggende ruimte op te vullen met grillige ranken. Het kalendervlak zelf geeft hij een zwaardere decoratieve rand, die op de hoeken wordt geaccentueerd door siersteenachtige ovalen. De geest van Morris straalt zichtbaar van het papier af. (...).".
