= Dekkers p.3. First published in 1642, this legal handbook, used by judges and lawyers, was often reprinted, each time with augmentations (this is a mixed set). It still is a very important resource for the practice of the history of Dutch law.
- Lacks first free endpaper; cut sl. short in upper margin (frontisp. in fore-edge margin); first part sl. waterstained; old annot. on upper pastedown and last blank; modern bookplate on upper pastedown. Bound somewhat cramped; upper joint split; backstrip sl. rubbed.

Op aandrang van zijn leerlingen publiceert hij het, als het ware met een slordig gebaar. "Onfangh dan dit Werckje als iets geringhs". (...) Geen opdracht aan een of andere authoriteit, geen eeredicht, geen titelprent. Het is zoo simpel mogelijk.
