- Contents partly sl. duststained; owner's entry of "J.Maria de Candia" on htitle. Binding dam. and leather w. some creases (rebound and restored); gilding partly painted black.

- Bookplate on upper pastedown; new, marbled endpapers; occas. trifle foxed. Joints starting; spine-ends sl. dam.; corners bumped.

- One leaf cut out (p.203-204) w. near contemp. annot. reading: "C'est un Jésuite ou un ami des Jésuites qui a déchiré les pages 203 et 204."; frontisp. w. closed tear in image and engr. caption below cut short; title-p. sl. duststained. Backstrip restored w. marbled paper; frontwr. partly darkened.
= Very rare. Not in Barbier. The frontisp. published separately (prob. simultaneously) by the author and bound with in our copy. No other copy found with this frontispice and only one copy traced in the trade/ auction (without the frontisp.).

"Men maakte voornamelijk gebruik van liederen uit "La Lire Maçonne", uitgegeven door R. van Laak en dus [?] van Nederlandse origine, waarvan tussen 1763 en 1784 zes drukken verschenen.
