ADDED 10 others, all prints of other animals, i.a. an engraving of cows by MARCUS DE BYE after PAULUS POTTER.
- First series trifle foxed, mostly along edges; 2nd series plates for the greater part yellowed. Binding worn/ rubbed along extremities; paper over covers partly worn off.
= Rare edition, probably published by De Leth as a series of prints, without the original letterpress titles and dedication and content leaves. On the series ("Icones"): Bolten, Dutch and Flemish Drawing Books p.69-70 describes the editio princeps of ±1669 with a few dedication and contents leaves, the etchings unnumbered. On both series, cf. in extenso: J.G. van Gelder and I. Jost, Jan de Bisschop and his Icones & Paradigmata (...) (Doornspijk, 1985); cf. Hollstein 6 (a very incomplete entry). The first series after i.a. Caracci, Dominichino and Michelangelo, 2nd series reproducing Greek and Roman sculpture. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIV.
- First print somewhat foxed; no.6 folded, w. central fold closed on verso; no. 4 and 5 w. ample margins, others trimmed on/ a few mm. outside the platemark; no.3 "Blaeu brugh" supplied in duplicate (w. all margins cut off).

- Old glue remnants in the corners on verso, causing sl. creasing.
= Hollstein 97. Study after a detail of the painting of St. Martin dividing his cloak. Rare.
- (Very) fine impression on 17th cent. paper w. watermark showing a foolscap; a few small specks; wide margins of 15 to 18 mm.

- Fine impression; cut just outside/ on the borderline.
= Hollstein 15, probably the 4th state (of 4), with the short diagonal scratch on the wall to the left and reworked.
- Creases/ folds and dustsoiled.
= From the series Emblemata Evangelica (1585) (title and 12 plates) by Adriaen COLLAERT, showing scenes from the New Testament in connection with the labours of the month and headed by the signs of the zodiac at top centre of each plate (here November and Sagittarius). New Hollstein 82.
